The applications for the 2012-2013 Student Advisory Council is now available.There will be ten positions open. Applications are due May 31, 2012. If you have any questions please contact Mike Hatfill at 217-524-4832 or dhatfill@isbe.net. Interviews will be scheduled for mid to late July for those applicants chosen as possible candidates.

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announced today the selection of 15 high school students from across the state to serve on the Student Advisory Council (SAC), which brings student concerns to the attention of ISBE. This year’s SAC members are meeting for the first time Oct. 18-19 in Springfield.

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announced today that 15 outstanding high school students from across Illinois have been selected to represent their peers on the ISBE Student Advisory Council for 2010-2011. The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announced today that 15 outstanding sophomores, juniors and seniors from across Illinois have been selected to represent their peers on the ISBE Student Advisory Council for 2007-2008. The new council came together and began in their new roles during this week's September State Board meeting.

Anna Bittman of New Trier High School and Michael Byerley of Lemont High School will serve as co-chairs for the 2006-2007 Student Advisory Council (SAC) to the Illinois State Board of Education. The two seniors were elected by the 2006-2007 members at the SAC's November meeting held in Springfield.
