What to Do

When to Do It

Timeline for
Grades 3 thru 8
Timeline for
Grade 11
Step 1 of 5 –
Update/correct demographic information for students that was previously submitted on ISAT, PSAE and IMAGE pre-ID label data files (use Record Changes tab).

Notes: Demographic information submitted for students on ISAT, PSAE and IMAGE pre-ID label data files will be posted to the IL Data SchoolHouse Web site. At this time, all students included in pre-ID label roster posted in Record Changes will be listed with the school that receives the labels. The information provided in pre-ID label data files is used to produce the pre-ID labels that are placed on ISAT answer documents, on PSAE Day 2 answer documents, and on IMAGE answer documents. Any needed changes to information contained within the barcode on a label may be made on SchoolHouse during this time.

February 18–March 9, 2005
March 3–April 22, 2005
Step 2 of 5–
Enter enrollment counts as of the first day of testing for grades 3, 5, 8, and 11 (use Demographics tab).

Notes: These counts should reflect the number of grade 3, 5, 8, and 11 students in total and in each subgroup for a home school—regardless of whether they are scheduled to take ISAT, PSAE, IMAGE, or IAA, and regardless of whether they are scheduled to test at their home or receiving school.
February 28–March 28, 2005
April 25–May 16, 2005
Step 3 of 5–
View 2005 Preliminary Participation Rate/Discrepancy Check Report for each school. Please periodically check SchoolHouse for information on the availability of these reports. For schools containing grade 11 (e.g., grade 11 only, grades 8 and 11), this report will not be available until July 26.

Update/correct demographic information for tested students (use Record Changes tab) and/or first-day-of-testing enrollment counts for grades 3, 5, 8, and 11 (use Demographics tab).

Notes: The 2005 Preliminary Participation Rate/Discrepancy Check Report shows the number of students tested versus the number of students reported as enrolled on the first day of testing—which was entered in Step 2. Students are listed with the school indicated as their home school. If there are discrepancies, this report will alert you with “Check Your Data” flags. You are responsible for checking flagged discrepancies and making any necessary data corrections in either Record Changes or Demographics on SchoolHouse. This is explained on the discrepancy check report.

During this time, PSAE records are based on Day 2 testing only because the merging of Day 1 and Day 2 records is not completed until after the first grade 11 post-test correction window closes on July 1.Therefore, discrepancy reports that include grade 11 students cannot be accurately produced until the window opens on July 26.

May 2-13, 2005

Extended to
Friday, May 20, 2005, 11:59 p.m.

Extended again to
Wednesday, June 1, 2005, 5:00 p.m.

June 13–July 1, 2005
Step 4 of 5–
View ISAT, PSAE, IMAGE, and IAA school and district score reports and 2005 Preliminary Participation Rate/Discrepancy Check Report for each school.

Update/correct demographic information for tested students (use Record Changes tab) and/or first-day-of-testing enrollment counts for grades 3, 5, 8, and 11 (use Demographics tab).

Notes: In addition to being able to view information in Record Changes and Demographics, you will now be able to view score reports—including ISAT, PSAE, IMAGE, and IAA school rosters that contain results for individual students. Along with the discrepancy check report, score reports can be found under the Reports tab in SchoolHouse. During this time, PSAE records are based on Day 1 and Day 2 testing because the merging of Day 1 and Day 2 records is completed by July 26. Any rescore requests must be made on or before 5:00 p.m. central time Monday, August 8, 2005.

Additional Note 6/20/05:
The Illinois State Board of Education at its June 16, 2005, Board meeting approved changes to cut scores for the IMAGE reading assessment at grades 3, 5, 8 and 11. This approval means that these new IMAGE reading cut scores will be applied to the 2005 IMAGE reading tests. Therefore, the posting of all IMAGE results will be delayed. IMAGE mathematics cut scores were not changed. The IMAGE score reports for reading and mathematics will be posted on or before July 5, 2005.

We apologize for this delay, but having new IMAGE reading cut scores applied to the 2005 IMAGE reading tests was a priority and could not be done without Board approval. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the delayed posting of the IMAGE score reports.

June 20-August 22, 2005
July 26-August 22, 2005

NEW POSTING DATE:
July 19, 2005

Step 5 of 5-

September 19-
December 31, 2005

Note: For Chicago schools, the CPS District #299 office will make all data corrections. Chicago schools will be able to view their score reports only-including ISAT, PSAE, IMAGE, and IAA school rosters that contain results for individual students.

The IL Data SchoolHouse™ Web site allows you to provide demographic information for individual students that is needed for reporting at the school and district levels, to view score reports for your district and/or schools, and to make updates/corrections in Record Changes for students-first for students you are scheduled to test (see Step 1) and then for your students who actually tested (see Step 3), at either your school (which is their home school) or a receiving school.
