Consumer Education Proficiency Test (ICEPT)
Discontinuation of the Illinois Consumer Education Proficiency Test (ICEPT) as of July 2010
SB 3608 became Public Act 96-1061 on July 14, 2010. (http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/publicacts/96/PDF/096-1061.pdf )
Public Act 96-1061 removed a provision requiring the state to offer a consumer education proficiency test that allowed a pupil to be excused from the requirement that he or she receives consumer education instruction. Therefore, ICEPT is no longer offered.
