IAA Framework Priorities Posted

The newly developed Illinois Alternate Assessment (IAA) Assessment Framework Priorities for Reading, Mathematics, Science and Writing are posted on the IAA Web site at www.isbe.net/assessment/iaa.htm.

Teachers administering the IAA should become familiar with the new IAA Assessment Frameworks as well as the detailed Critical Functions and the Possible Assessment Activities associated with each Learning Objective. Teachers should integrate these Possible Assessment Activities into daily student instruction or develop similar activities if they are not already doing so.

The Possible Assessment Objectives will not necessarily be covered on the IAA assessments for Reading, Mathematics, Science or Writing, but events of a similar nature will be included. If you have questions on the Frameworks, contact Margie Jobe at mjobe@isbe.net. If you have general IAA questions, contact Marilyn Leveque at mleveque@isbe.net.
