ISBE DELL e-Broadcast 2007.58 - Online Coursework for Bilingual Special Education Approval Offered This Summer
George Washington University (GWU) and ISBE have joined forces to offer an online course (SPED 272) for special education teachers who want to obtain the Bilingual Special Education Approval. Additional details about this course are found below.
Bilingual teachers who want to obtain the Bilingual Special Education Approval will need to meet other course requirements. This course would not apply to the coursework required for bilingual teachers wanting to obtain the bilingual special education approval. George Washington University Online Course Details:
SPED 272 "Strategies for Inclusion: Addressing the Needs of Special Populations" would meet the course requirement "Methods and Materials for Teaching LEP Students with Disabilities or Methods and Materials for Teaching LEP Students." This is a requirement for special education teachers who want to obtain the Bilingual Special Education Approval.
