FUNDING FOR SUMMER OF 2008
The application for migrant education program funding
for the summer of 2008 is available at http://www.isbe.net/bilingual/htmls/migrant.htm.
The deadline for submission is April 15, 2008.
Districts with eligible migrants may receive funding
for summer school programs to serve migrant children
and youth. Eligible migrants include children under the
age of 22 who have not graduated from high school. They
must have moved across state or district lines with their
parents or on their own to find qualifying temporary
or seasonal work in agriculture or fishing within the
past three years.
