ISBE DELL Newsletter 2014.257 - Documenting Program Requirements: Part-Time Placement into a TBE Program and Professional Development

Without pomp and circumstance our newsletter will focus on comprehensive planning and professional development. Please take a few minutes to review the information below and attend an upcoming professional development workshop. For additional assistance call our division at 312-814-3850.

Comprehensive Planning

Identifying and screening ELLs as well as notifying parents are among the most salient and required activities taken on by school districts. Toward this end, districts may access Home Language Surveys (HLS) and parent notification forms in multiple languages.

As a companion piece and resource to districts, ISBE DELL and committed educators have worked together to create a document that is an example of a form which districts can use to document the rationale for placing students into a part-time TBE program. Visit ELL General Forms for more information.
