WEBCAST
FY09 Consolidated Application Workshop to Serve ELLs

Please be advised that the presentation format of the FY09 Consolidated Bilingual Application Workshops has changed from three workshops held at locations across the state to an streamming video segments that will be available here.  In addition, a follow-up telephone conference call for questions and answers has also been scheduled. This shift in presentation will allow more district representatives to

  • access information about the FY09 Consolidated Bilingual Application
  • view segments of the presentation multiple times; and
  • reduce travel costs.

Short video segments were taped on 4/17/08 and are currently being edited.  The accompanying FY09 Application and related documents are scheduled to be released the week of April 21, 2008.

Two follow up phone conferences have been scheduled to answer questions.

May 1, 2008 – 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (The target audience for this call are educators with previous experience in completing the application.)

May 2, 2008 – 10:00 – 12:00 a.m. (The target audience for this call are educators new to completing this application and those needing a review.)

One important change is that districts will need to RSVP to participate in one conference call.

To obtain the RSVP form, click the links here |.doc | .pdf |.

Upon receipt of your RSVP to dell@isbe.net, you will receive a phone number and code to access the conference call.  RSVPs are necessary to secure an adequate number of phone lines.

Program directors from local districts are asked to RSVP by Monday, April 28, 2008.

You may submit written questions concerning the application to dell@isbe.net before and after the phone conferences.

Updates will be published here, via the DELL e-Broadcast listserv and in the Superintendent’s Bulletin.
