 FY09 ROE ELL Professional Development Initiative Grant application
The following document is a calendar of workshops
hosted by ROEs, and in some cases by ISBE, to provide information
on state and federal laws and rules governing Bilingual Education
and best practices in the field of Bilingual Education. These
workshops were open to administrators, teachers and other
staff at small, local school districts experiencing the enrollment
of limited English proficient students for the first time
or experiencing a major influx of limited English proficient
students. These workshops also served to increase the bilingual
education knowledge base of ROE staff.
The following is a list of persons
designated as contact persons for the ROE ELL Professional
Development Initiative Grant. Regional Superintendents are
listed as the contact persons unless a member of the ROE
staff has been so designated.
