Test Frameworks for Illinois Certification
Tests
In June 2000, the State Board of Education adopted content-area
standards for educators. The test frameworks illustrate the
alignment of these standards with the Illinois Certification
Testing System’s (ICTS) certification tests. The frameworks
provide a set of objectives upon which the tests are based
and also represent the content knowledge that is assessed
on the Illinois Certification tests. These frameworks are
helpful for teacher certification candidates and also faculty
members who are involved in the preparation of teacher certification
candidates.
