Assessments
Foreign Languages Classroom Assessments Aligned to the
Illinois Learning Standards.
The assessments are coded according to standard and stage.
Example: 28A.B is aligned to standard 28A, stage B (second
year of language study). Sample student work, when available,
will follow the assessment.
28A.B - Identifying Primary Media
Students will respond with the names of media sources when
questions are posed by the teacher.
28B.B - Meeting Another Student
In pairs, two students role play meeting for the first time
in which they exchange information.
28C.B - Number Match 
Demonstrate knowledge of numeric words.
28D.B - Family Terms 
Complete sentences with appropriate family terms in the target
language.
29A.B - Happy Holiday 
Students will greet individuals in forms that are appropriate
for the relationship, the time of day and occasion.
29B.B - Famous Painting 
Demonstrate understanding of art from a target language country.
29C.B - Who's Doing What 
Complete sentences with the names of media sources in the
target language.
29D.B - Picture ID 
Demonstrate knowledge of historical figures.
29E.B - Where in the World? 
Identify geographical features of the country or origin of
the target language, surrounding countries and other areas
where the target language is commonly spoken
30A.B - Weather Booklet 
Write a description of typical weather for each of the four
seasons.
30B.B - Career Choices 
Depict jobs in the target language.
