Assessments

Mathematics Classroom Assessments Aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards

The assessments are coded according to learning standard and stage. Example: 6A.B is aligned to standard 6A, stage B (second grade). Sample student work, when available, will follow the assessment.

6A.B & 6D.B - All Kinds of Numbers PDF File
Count and compare numbers and unit fractions using “greater than” and “less than” notations, represent
numbers and unit fractions with manipulatives.

6B.B - Exploring Multiplication and Division at a
Party

Solve a multiplication and a division problem using Unifix Cubes.

6C & 8D.B - Estimate Solve and Check PDF File
Estimate, solve, and check a series of addition and subtraction number and word problems.

7A & 7B & 7C.B - Measuring Up to Standards PDF File
Estimate length, weight and capacity when compared to standard reference points, and choose appropriate units of measure in various examples.

8A.B - Attributes and Patterns with Buttons PDF File
Sort, create and analyze patterns using attribute buttons, verbalize sorting rules and patterns.

8C & 8B & 6B.B - Growing Up PDF File
Solve a problem involving quantitative change in a person’s growth.

9A.B Creative Shapes PDF File
Create a shape using four pattern blocks and perform a translation, a rotation and a reflection on the shape.

9B & 9C.B - Sort It Out and Match It Up PDF File
Observe various two- and three-dimensional objects and verbally compare and contrast their attributes.

10A & 10B.B - Data From Interviews PDF File
Create and conduct a survey about favorite foods, gather and represent the data, interpret data and make predictions to present to the class.

10C.B - Guess the Color PDF File
Determine how many of each color are in a bag of blue, red and white cubes and predict the probability of each of those colors being pulled out of the bag.
