Social Science Classroom Assessments Aligned to the Illinois
Learning Standards
The assessments are coded according to learning standard
and stage. Example: 14A.A is aligned to standard 14A, stage
A (first grade). Sample student work, when available, will
follow the assessment. Items indicated with (U) address United
States history; (W) address world history.
14A.E - Civic Personal Responsibilities
Categorize activities of adults and students as civic responsibilities,
personal responsibilities, or both.
14B14E.E - Treaties and Separation
of Powers 
Make a diagram that identifies separation of powers by using
a treaty the United States has signed with another country.
