Announcements

National Board Teachers and School Counselors:  As many of you know, the General Assembly approved a budget for FY2010 that cut the Illinois State Board of Education’s budget by $442 million.  The Illinois National Board Program was decreased from $11,485,000 to $5,700,000.

Due to this decrease in funding, new legislation that passed in October of 2008 and pending administrative rules, ISBE will not post any forms until mid-to-late January.  Those seeking to apply for stipends should continue to check the ISBE website for further updates at  http://www.isbe.net/profprep/nbpts.htm.
