Proposed Amendments to Part 252 (Driver Education)

Section 252.20(c) of rules governing Driver Education set forth the standards for individuals who provide instruction to public school students "who have physical limitations that would require the use of a specially equipped car or for students who require other specialized instruction (e.g., vision or hearing impairments, cognitive disabilities)". The rules require that these instructors be certified as driver rehabilitation specialists by the ADED – Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialist. In communicating the criteria for that certification, the rules relied upon a specific web address of the association that is no longer valid. A link to the association's home page will be provided instead.
