Approved Provider Information

Information about Approved SES Providers

  • Providers Complete Contact Information Word Document (Updated 6/08). This file lists a contact person, physical address, email address, phone number, etc. for each approved provider.
  • Complete Provider/District Information Excel Document (see note below) (Updated 6/08). After opening this file, please read the first tab for instructions on how to use this file. These lists do not show which schools in Illinois have been identified to offer SES since providers may be approved to serve districts that may not be involved in SES in any given school year. For a list of all schools currently required to offer SES, see “School Improvement Status” under the Data Analysis link in the column on the left side of the webpage you are currently viewing.
  • Providers Complete Subjects and Services Listing Excel Document (Updated 6/08). This file provides some information about the services offered by individual providers and also breaks the complete provider list into separate lists for providers offering reading and mathematics to aid parents looking for tutoring just one subject area.

Clarification on the qualification for a person to be a tutor in a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) program

After-School Snack/Meal Programs. Districts and providers may be able to offer snacks or meals to SES students through various programs. View this link and/or contact the Nutrition Division via their link in the column on the left side of the webpage you are currently viewing.

FY07 SES Per Pupil Expenditure Report Excel Document (Updated 9/06). This table lists the Title I allocation for each district, the most recent poverty-plus-foster children count, and the per pupil expenditure rate based on those two numbers. The funds expended for SES for each child must be the lesser of either this per pupil expenditure rate or the actual cost of SES received by each child (see link below for the federal statute language on this subject). Thus this table effectively lists the maximum a district may pay per child for SES in the given fiscal year. Questions about the computation of this rate should be directed to the Funding and Disbursements Division (217-782-5256) while questions about the programmatic use of the rate should be directed to Gary Greene or Patrick M. Lee at 312/814-5818 (Chicago) or at 217/782-2948 (Springfield).

NCLB, Title I Part A, Section 1116(e)(6) AMOUNTS FOR SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. This is the portion of federal law describing the computation of the Per-Pupil Expenditure amounts in the report linked above.
