What Do They Mean?

To determine whether legal / compliance findings have been noted by the auditor, the reader of the AFR should review or be aware of the following:

• Exceptions or concerns identified in the auditor's opinion or noted to the AFR
• The Auditor's Questionnaire (AFR - Page 2, Part 1)
• The Federal Compliance Report (AFR Attachments)
• The Management Letter identifies issues not required to be disclosed in the AFR, but represents the auditor's concerns and suggestions noted during the audit work / review.  The report may not be attached to the AFR or publicly released (see Glossary).
