| - Streamlines, implements and oversees contract and procurement processes.
- Attends expenditure review meetings and represents the Agency at procurement related hearings and meetings.
- Researches, reviews and/or prepares legal opinions, legislation, administrative rules, and other legal documents.
- Drafts and negotiates all Agency contracts.
- Reviews all Agency procurements and provides guidance and advice on enforcement and interpretation of contracts.
- Supervises and evaluates legal department staff.
- Provides daily support to staff.
- Assists and advises Agency in policy deliberations and implementation.
- Advises school officials and such other constituents as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
| - Graduation from an accredited law school. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Seven years of experience working as a licensed attorney.
- Experience with contract and procurement matters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
