​Reporting to the Executive Director of Regional Services, provides collaborative leadership development and support to Illinois school districts, educational organizations, and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) employees.

  • ​Directs the overall function of supporting Illinois school districts to support the development and continued excellence for future and current district leaders. 
  • Supports the development of the principal and superintendent pipeline. 
  • Develops and communicates district/school improvement support.
  • Develops relationships with, collaborates with, and provides support to Illinois educational stakeholders to build a system of leadership support for Illinois educators.
  • Develops and provides professional development leadership support to ISBE staff and management. 
  • Coordinates with the ISBE operations team to identify needs, develop resources, and deliver leadership support.
  • In coordination with the Agency's records management coordinator, serves as department liaison for records management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • ​Master's degree in Education. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
  • Experience in the birth - 12 education system as a district leader and/or previous education leadership work.
  • Minimum of three years related management/supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in an environment requiring systems thinking, flexibility, and change facilitation. 
  • Experience coaching and collaborating with teachers and administrators as they continue to grow in their profession. 
  • Experience designing and facilitating peer-learning support structures, such as professional learning communities, communities of practice, school/district partnerships mentoring, and regional and statewide learning networks (including virtual opportunities).
  • Ability to support the development of communication to promote the principal and superintendent-pipeline. 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute large-scale projects.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills.
