Register now for a KIDS implementation training near you!
The following training sessions are targeted toward teachers and administrators NEW to the assessment and who have never received KIDS training or logins. We also welcome any other district staff who want to understand the tool more completely and those who may need a refresher. We invite you to register for one of the training sessions below, created to assist teachers in observing, assessing, documenting, and reporting on student development using the KIDS assessment tool.
KIDS Training (KT): This is normally a teacher or administrator’s first introduction to the layout of KIDS, providing them with the opportunity to participate in reviewing and reflecting on evidence to rate student progress along a developmental continuum. This is a required training for teachers and administrators to gain a login and access to KIDStech.
Observing and Documenting for KIDS (OD): this training supports the application of KIDS by refining observation skills, documentation of evidence, and the use of data to support and inform instruction.
KIDS Refresher (KR): This training is designed for teachers who have previously attended a KIDS Training and have either not implemented the assessment tool or need the most current information. Teachers will be receive the most updated information on the KIDS assessment tool, the development levels, descriptors, and how to review and reflect on the evidence to rate student progress along the development continuum. In addition, participants will be given updates the KIDStech data entry system and the data and reports available to them.
We invite you to choose and register for a session near you. At the end of the registration process, you will be able to select the days of training you will attend.
If you are interested in a KIDS training but are unable to find a session near you, please contact Michelle Escapa at 217-801-6566.
