The Common Core State Standards may be fewer, clearer, and higher but they also imply newer assessments, clearer concerns, and higher anxiety for teachers. But are they that different from previous goals? This presentation attempts to identify common elements within the myriad of standards that can enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels. Common Core Mathematics resources, examples, and ideas will be shared and investigated.

Dr. Robert Mann, Associate Professor at Western Illinois University, developed and delivered this Keynote for the 2012 Regional Common Core Math Conference in Springfield, IL.
