Illinois began issuing annual summative designations as part of its new accountability system in 2018. Annual summative designations were issued again in 2019, before pausing in 2020 and 2021 when federal waivers of assessment and/or accountability were issued to states. Calculation of annual summative designations resumed in 2022. Here you will find the list of schools and the annual summative designation issued, the descriptive statistics for that year, including Exemplary/Commendable and Targeted/Comprehensive index score thresholds at both the Elementary/Middle School level (ES) and High School (HS) level, and the published business rules for that year.
