The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted students’ postsecondary outcomes. The Illinois State Board of Education and OneGoal are collaborating to offer a systemwide solution to increase students' college and career readiness. This is a unique opportunity for select districts to receive robust support to ensure more equitable postsecondary outcomes for students. Inaugural partners receive these benefits at no cost for the first two years.

Impact

  • Leaders will be equipped to develop effective and equitable system-wide strategies that invest their teams and deliver equitable outcomes for students.
  • Students will see increased FASFA completion and early college coursework enrollment.
  • Alumni will see increased postsecondary enrollment and persistence in multiple postsecondary pathways that lead to economic mobility and family-sustaining wages.

"Postsecondary success is important because it is seen and valued within the community. With OneGoal’s program, we can see our students’ progression after they leave high school. I love numbers and data, and we’re gathering information to help drive our instruction. The timing of this partnership is perfect because the vision-setting work puts our district in a forward-thinking position as we head into the summer."

- Nicole Webb, Instructional Coach, Cahokia High School

Build a Future of Opportunity

The model has a dual-track approach. First, it offers a Postsecondary Leadership Series for district and school leader teams. Then, OneGoal’s classroom-based model supports students during their Junior and Senior years to ensure they successfully enroll and persist in their postsecondary path of choice.
