ISBE was awarded a School Breakfast Program Expansion Grant, which will be used to provide sub-grants to Local Education Agencies (LEAs), not to exceed $10,000 per qualifying school or group of qualifying schools to establish, maintain, or expand the SBP. - Breakfast Training Event Registration
ISBE is partnering with three community colleges across the state to offer breakfast training events as part of the School Breakfast Program Expansion Grant. The training will include hands-on breakfast recipe development in the kitchen alongside each college’s culinary staff and chefs as well as a classroom session discussing School Breakfast Program meal pattern requirements. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the training will conclude at 2:30 p.m. for each location. Lunch will be provided. Please limit registration to no more than two staff members. Additional details, including an agenda, building location, and parking information will be sent after registration closes on Sept. 30, 2024.
