PA 101-0010 (105 ILCS 230/5-43 new) establishes the School Construction Task Force. The Task Force must review the School Construction Law and research the needs for capital improvements in schools throughout this state. On or before March 1, 2020, the Task Force must submit a report to the Governor, General Assembly, and the chairperson of the State Board of Education that outlines recommendations for revising the School Construction Law and implementing a sound capital program to support the capital needs of public schools in this state, early childhood programs, and vocational education programs.
