Enhancing Data Collections with the Data Quality Dashboard

The Data Quality Dashboard is an interactive tool designed to provide feedback to districts on the accuracy of their submitted data. While use of the Data Quality Dashboard is optional, it can be an extremely helpful tool to ease data collections. The goal of the Dashboard is to empower districts to take the quality of their data into their own hands by checking submitted data against a series of audits. The Dashboard will provide pathways for districts to correct any and all potential errors without needing to call ISBE.

Data Quality Dashboard 2.0 – July 7

This webinar will help public school districts familiarize themselves with the new system and quality checks. This system will help school districts find and correct data issues in SIS, EIS, EPS, EBF and the Illinois Report Card.

Using the Data Qualit​​y Dashboard to Enhance Data Collections

In this webinar, the Data Strategies and Analytics Department will introduce the Data Quality Dashboard, a new and interactive tool designed to improve data quality. The webinar will explain how to access and navigate the Dashboard, and how to use audits (which are comprised of reasonability checks and set business rules) within the Dashboard to assure the accuracy of submitted data.

The User’s guide is a manual that explains how to access the dashboard, and the basic navigations and functions within the Data Quality Dashboard. This is an excellent place for a beginner user to start learning about the Data Quality Dashboard and how to use this tool to clean their data before final submission.

Detail Explanations of Course Assignment Audits

The Detail Explanations of Course Assignment Audits guide is an introduction to all five audits contained within the Student and Teacher Course Assignment data categories. This guide will explain each Course Assignment audit in full and show every relevant screen where the user can make edits to their data.
