| - Serves as the Agency resource with regards to school health issues including individual health care plans, IEPs, 504 plans, food allergies, Diabetes, and medical plans.
- Performs grant evaluations and reviews and approves original and amended grant applications.
- Assists in the accomplishment of the department's regulatory functions, including policy and procedures review and others as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including participation in professional development activities to improve knowledge and skills.
| - Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or Pupil Personnel Services (School Nurse, School Counselor, School Psychologist, School Social Worker) or a Bachelor's degree in one of these areas plus two years of relevant professional experience. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Illinois Registered Nurse License. (COPY OF LICENSE REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Two years of experience (in addition to education requirements) working as a teacher, administrator or related service personnel with schools.
- Experience with curriculum adaptation, modification and development.
- Experience developing and implementing different types of programs.
- Experience in the design and implementation and/or delivery of professional development and technical assistance in relevant areas.
- Experience developing written materials such as reports, technical assistance documents and training materials.
- Knowledge of current issues and best practices in the field of education.
- Knowledge and skills in curriculum modification and effective instructional strategies.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and apply research study results, including application to teaching and learning practice.
- Ability to define problems and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues.
- Ability to coordinate the completion of projects and programs and work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Computer application skills.
| - Professional Educator License endorsed in School Nursing.
- Experience working with alternative learning opportunities.
