Joint Early Childhood public budget hearing scheduled for December 3, 2012 in Chicago

Early Childhood public budget hearing Monday, Dec 3

CHICAGO – The Illinois State Board of Education, in cooperation with the Department of Human Services and the Department of Children and Family Services, is holding a joint Early Childhood public budget hearing Monday, Dec. 3, at the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago.

The agencies will be accepting testimony on all Early Childhood programs including but not limited to: child care, children’s mental health, child welfare, early intervention, Head Start and Early Head Start, home visiting, maternal and child health, Preschool for All and Prevention Initiative.

ISBE Chairman Gery J. Chico will preside over the hearing.

Hearing participants are asked to keep their testimony to five minutes and email a copy to Adam.Weiner@illinois.gov.
