Guidance

  • Guidance
    The LEA's guidance services, such as admission to career and technical education courses/programs and career guidance information, must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.
  • Career-related Learning
    If the LEA provides career-related learning experiences for students those experiences must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

      • ​Guidelines for Vocational Education Programs (ref. 1) (ref. 2)
  • Placement
    If the LEA provides placement activities or services for students those activities and services must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age.

      • ​Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
      • ​Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
      • ​Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
      • ​Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990

    The personnel policies of the LEA must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.
  • Financial Assistance
    If the LEA provides any form of financial assistance program for career and technical education students that uses award criteria they must ensure that criteria do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.
