The Illinois State Board of Education, in partnership with WIDA, sponsors the professional development sessions featured on this webpage.
Registration for all WIDA workshops is now available through PD+, Illinois' interactive professional development system that serves as a "one-stop shop" for educators to search and register for professional development opportunities. Educators can access PD+ by logging into their ELIS account.
All sessions are funded by public resources and are therefore open exclusively to current public educators at no cost. Educators will earn professional development hours upon completing any workshop listed below. Webinars and self-paced e-workshops will issue a certificate of completion to participants at the conclusion of each course. Participants must download the certificate and email a copy to multilingual@isbe.net.
You must sign up for WIDA courses through both PD+ and WIDA. PD+ also automatically tracks the completion of professional development hours, eliminating the need for manual entry into ELIS.
- Are you an educator looking for ideas on how to request for permission to participate in a WIDA professional development (PD) session? You may use the Facilitated eWorkshop Principal Letter template
from WIDA for an idea on how to request for participation in these PDs.
To register and access the self-paced e-workshops, please sign up using the PD+ links below. If you haven’t used WIDA before, please
create a WIDA Secure Portal login.
Visit the
PD+ site for more information about the platform.
