The Illinois State Board of Education, in partnership with WIDA, sponsors the professional development sessions featured on this webpage. Registration is limited to three individuals per school district. All sessions are provided at no cost, funded by public resources, and are therefore open exclusively to current public educators. For inquiries about these workshops, please contact multilingual@isbe.net. Educators will earn professional development hours upon completing any workshop listed here. Webinars and self-paced e-workshops will issue a certificate of completion to participants at the conclusion of each course. Participants must download the certificate and email a copy to
multilingual@isbe.net. An ISBE-approved evidence of completion form will then be sent via email to educators, enabling them to log the professional development hours in their ELIS account.
- Are you an educator looking for ideas on how to request for permission to participate in a WIDA professional development (PD) session? You may use the
Facilitated eWorkshop Principal Letter template
from WIDA for an idea on how to request for participation in these PDs.
- Are you an administrator wanting to share the WIDA professional development opportunities with your educators? Feel free to distribute this
