The Fiscal Year 2024 Funding Opportunities Planning Calendar
is a tool created by the Regulatory Services Department to inform entities of expected release dates for applications. Our desire is that this schedule helps entities plan accordingly throughout the year. You also can use this information to identify opportunities for which your entity may be eligible. We expect all applications to launch on the dates provided in the schedule, but there may be rare occasions when a change will be made. This schedule will be updated monthly.
Important Information
The Fiscal Year 2024 After School Programs – Non-School Districts Request for Proposals (RFP) has rescinded. An updated RFP will be posted shortly with an updated total funding amount and new timelines.
The Wellness Department would like to inform current and prospective grantees that there will be no new
21st Century Community Learning Centers Competitions in FY24. Limited funds may be available for a new grant competition for FY 2025. ISBE will relay information about the possibility of a new grant competition as soon as we have completed the funding forecast.

First time applicants without an RCDT (Region-County-District-Type) code must call or email the grant contact to obtain an RCDT code before submitting an application. The RCDT code is a unique identifying code assigned to each entity funded by ISBE and is required to receive payment for a grant.
All NOFO/RFPs released on or after May 1, 2018 are subject to the updated
Merit Based Review policy

ISBE is asking that Merit-Based Appeals be emailed to
GATA@isbe.net while the stay at home order is in place. An appeal must be received by 5 p.m. of the 14th day after the date that the first grant award notice has been published on this page.
