Illinois virtual learning options have been expanded to offer courses through multiple providers in a new online course catalog service delivery beginning on January 1, 2020. The Illinois Virtual Course Program is intended as a supplemental program that partners with schools to provide Full Service Core, Elective, AP and Credit Recovery courses for middle and high school students that will offer schools a choice of online courses from six service providers.
All courses are taught by Illinois licensed instructors and aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards. Public school districts that enroll students in courses from the catalog can request reimbursement from ISBE, subject to appropriations by the General Assembly.
