The electronic Grants Management System was developed in FY 2005 with the primary goal of reducing grant preparation time for local education agencies, improve data quality and communications, standardize ISBE grant applications, and improve efficiency of the grant review and approval. The first application created in the eGMS was the NCLB Consolidated application.

Access eGMS through IWAS

Local education agencies must useISBE’s Web Application Security System (IWAS) to access eGMS and submit the eGMS applications via the Internet. Please make sure that you have your approval groups properly assigned through IWAS in order to access eGMS and submit your applications. eGMS will significantly reduce grant preparation time for local education agencies, improve data quality and communications, standardize ISBE grant applications, and improve efficiency of the grant review and approval process.
