CEP is an alternative to collecting, approving, and verifying household eligibility applications for free and reduced price eligible​ students in high poverty local educational agencies (LEAs) for schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.​

 Application Process

School Year 2022-2023 CEP Application:

The Online CEP Evaluation and Application Module is available to all sponsors. The module began accepting CEP applications for SY 22-23 on April 1, 2022. The deadline for CEP application submission is traditionally June 30, but due to USDA flexibility this year, sponsors may submit through Sept. 30, 2022, or until the first SY 22-23 claim for reimbursement is submitted via WINS.
