The Illinois State Board of Education is convening a working group to examine the capstone licensure assessment used for teacher licensure. Working group members will meet during the months of February through June to identify essential skills, knowledge, and dispositions a learner-ready teacher must possess, examine best ways to assess these characteristics, analyze implementation considerations for assessment, and provide the State Superintendent of Education with a recommendation.
