All individuals interested in obtaining a Professional
Illinois School Bus Driver Permit in Illinois must attend and pass an Initial
School Bus Driver Training class. Annually all Professional School Bus
Drivers in Illinois holding a valid permit, must attend a Professional Illinois
School Bus Driver Refresher Class. The Professional Illinois School Bus
Driver Initial and Refresher Classes are administered by the Regional Offices
of Education (ROE) in accordance with the Illinois State Board of Education guidelines.
The listing of available classes can be sorted by the initial or refresher, ROE
and by the month. Once you have located a class, please contact the
hosting ROE to be scheduled.
