Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 110/5) creates the School Health Advisory Committee. Such committee shall advise the State Board of Education on all matters relating to the implementation of the provisions of the Critical Health Problems and Comprehensive Health Education Act. They shall assist in presenting advice and interpretation concerning a comprehensive health education program to the Illinois public, especially as related to critical health problems. They shall also assist in establishing a sound understanding and sympathetic relationship between such comprehensive health education program and the public health, welfare and educational programs of other agencies in the community.
