The Public School District Calendar prescribed in Section 10-19 of the School Code mandates a minimum of 185 days in the proposed school calendar to ensure 176 days of student attendance. The School Code also defines the “types” of days which may be included in the calendar, i.e., Teacher Institutes, Parent/Teacher Conferences, etc.
Due to the recent change in law, the 2019-20 Proposed Public School Calendars should be submitted prior to the first day of the school year. If additional time is needed, please contact email@example.com.
The final school calendar should be submitted to the Regional Office of Education no later than the last day of school.
