Share your experience and encourage others to become teachers!

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) recently launched a new marketing campaign called “The Answer is Teaching.” This campaign aims to recruit new teachers into the profession in Illinois, especially bilingual and special education teachers, as well as in rural and urban communities where there is the greatest need. The campaign has already drawn inquiries from thousands of prospective teachers!

To further our campaign goals, we are asking you to share your experience as a teacher. We hope your personal story will inspire others to become teachers and take advantage of the many benefits of being a teacher in Illinois.

In this toolkit, you will find sample copy, graphics, videos, and ideas for social media content to help share why you became a teacher with your network and community. All materials will direct anyone interested to the campaign website – BecomeATeacher.com – where they can sign up to receive more information to assist them on their journey to becoming a teacher.

Illinois needs teachers more than ever and our state is a great place to teach and help shape the lives of our young people. We hope you will use these resources in English and Spanish to spread the word about this campaign and identify prospective teachers throughout the state.

Thank you for your partnership!
