The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) makes annual adjustments to the Child Nutrition Programs Income Eligibility Guidelines. The guidelines are intended to direct benefits to those children most in need and are revised annually to account for changes in the Consumer Price Index. The USDA also adjusts reimbursement rates for meals and snacks on an annual basis each July for schools, child care institutions and day care homes, and each January for the Summer Food Service Program.​​

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued the following income eligibility​ guidelines for the periods of the time as noted on each chart.

Reimbursement Rates

The following reimbursement rates are issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The rates are prescribed on an annual basis each July for schools, child care institutions and day care homes, and each January for the summer program.
