This report, submitted in compliance with 105 ILCS 5/1A-4E, provides a discussion of the overall condition of education in Illinois. Information is included concerning student and teacher demographics; data on teacher and administrator licensure; federal, state, and local resources; and other data on Illinois education.
In an effort to streamline School Code provisions and by extension agency reporting, Public Act 102-0894 eliminated references to the Annual Report in 105 ILCS 5/1A-4, as it was duplicative of other agency reporting. The only data not already reported in a different mandated report was (1) number of students who graduated from, transfer from, or otherwise leave bilingual programs and (2) Dropout Rate (broken out by grade), which are both now part of the Illinois Report Card, starting with school year 2021.
